The evolution of internet and shift towards maintaining soft copies of the data and information has pushed back the need of using paper and ink to be used as medium of communication. The medium of communication has been subjected to tremendous transformation with the innovation in technology. Ages ago pigeons and eagles were used as medium of communication. The arrival of paper had made very strong bases for centuries and has been used as medium. Print media is referred to hard copies of information such as newspapers and magazines and is considered as most reliable medium but owing to development of I.T, in spite of firm bases it has suffered a massive hit by the introduction of websites which is called as Electronic Media. One of the most significant advantage of online media is the ease of marketing through affordable search engine optimization services, social media marketing and other online marketing strategies.
The answer is not really because there certain factors which cannot be ignored. It has been noticed that people feel more comfortable using newspapers and magazine to read out which can be witnessed by the fact that The Economist which is globally recognized financial magazine with around 10 million weekly circulation. Couple of years ago The economist launched its online version considering the need of online presence but interestingly its paper magazine sales have grown by significant number in last year which signifies the interest of people in print media, secondly billboards, brochures and flyers cannot be ignored, although these things have online versions but the purpose is not fulfilled unless printed versions of these brochures are not present. Books are considered to be the best friend of man which is again Print Media and people still like to read books while sitting or lying on bed. Although Electronic Media has significantly diluted the spread of Print Media but still there is natural essence attached to former which works as natural safeguard against Electronic Media.
